I have been buying the deer antlers at the local pet store, but when they were always sold out decided to try these. They are so much better than what I was getting. My springer spaniel is a heavy chewer and after 1 month, she still has 1/2 of the first bone left. They are definitely good size bones and well worth the price.

My golden retriever is a chewer, and she loves these. They don't get messy, slimy, or stinky like rawhides and other chewing products, so I'm a lot happier having them in my house. They also last for months at a time. Worth the price!

5.0 out of 5 stars Far superior to raw hides!, November 3, 2010
This review is from: Free Range Buckarooz! Premium Deer Antlers, 4 - 5" MONSTER 1-Pound Value Pack (Misc.)
We bought one of these on sale for our basset and puggle. My husband cut it in half and split it between the dogs. We love them. They are super hard, don't flake away and no chunks break off. They are expensive, but lasted our dogs about 12 days!
These antlers don't get soggy and have no odor.
Our dogs go crazy for them.

3.0 out of 5 stars Works the same as most dog brushes, August 14, 2011
This review is from: ShedMonster De-Shedding Tool for Fine or Short Coats (Misc.)
We used it on our short haired pug who sheds A LOT. Although the brush works, it doesn't work anywhere near as well as advertised. The brush works about the same as any other.

I have noticed that the reviews for the long hair brush are very high, so I am inclined to think it works better on those types of dogs. But for our short haired pug, the brush didn't work any better than any other brush we have tried.

1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible!, February 27, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

I bought this item as an alternative to the furminator for my boxer after reading reviews for it. It seemed to work and was cheaper so it seemed like a no brainer. Although my dog didn't seem to mind this brush, after a good 15 minute brushing and very little hair on the brush after I was disappointed. To add insult to injury the moment he was inside and was given a good belly rub and a treat for being so patient while being brushed, my floor had hair on it. So it's not like he doesn't shed... This brush is just worthless

4.0 out of 5 stars Pros and Cons VS Furminator, January 28, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: ShedMonster De-Shedding Tool for Fine or Short Coats (Misc.)
Not nearly as fast acting and effective as the Furminator. But I like that it is non irritating to the skin. Price point is a lot easier to swallow too. I would recommend this over the furminator for that reason alone. It is still a great brush for removing hair, it just takes a little more time and diligence.

4.0 out of 5 stars worth having around for us, April 1, 2006
This also works for me very well, but I had to use it for a while to get the hang of it. It's important to hold it at a 90 degree angle to the coat, brush in the direction that the fur is growing, apply a little bit of pressure and use the comb facing in the right direction. Some of our cats hate the wire brush I use, especially the one with diabetes who has tender skin, and it does seem to irritate all of them after a bit of use. The wire brush also makes noise as it passes over their fur which some of them don't like. They all seem to like this comb, it's silent, doesn't hurt, and does pull out a lot of big clumps of undercoat, leaving all five of our cats looking and feeling better than they ever have before. In fact, they like it! It naturally gets more fur out of the ones with thick undercoats, but I noticed it pulling fur out of the undercoats of the ones with thinner coats who usually don't have a lot of hair that comes out on a brush.

This comb is very small... Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't work, November 18, 2005
By
Wally "Wally" (St. Louis, MO USA) - See all my reviews
I tried the tool and it is junk. The way the handle holds the blade, you can't control the angle and it is very difficult to use. The caps covering the screws both fell off and the handle feels hard and cheap. I tried a friend's furminator and it worked 10 times better.

2.0 out of 5 stars furminator the more efficient tool, August 1, 2006
By
Lain (Beverly Hills, CA USA) - See all my reviews
i got this for my cat (ocicat breed). he's a short-haired cat that doesn't generally need much grooming except when the season changes. shedender worked just like the commericals. one brush and fur goes flying everywhere. it does remove hair however the teeth of the comb are not deep so the removed hair goes either flying or stays on top of the fur towards the back. as u can see in the picture the tool is small. if you have the patience and extra time (and if your pet has the patience too!) u can think about saving some money with this tool. if you want something more efficient, invest some extra money and go for the furminator instead. i bought both and compared them but i'm keeping my furminator despite the much higher price.
